Pilates helps people of all ages and fitness levels improve their overall mobility, strength, and flexibility. It is never too late to start working out with us.
Clients should wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. Snug fitting clothing is advised around the hip and torso area, so that instructors can better guide your alignment and form. No shoes are worn during class, and socks are optional.
Flexibility is not necessary to do Pilates. Our instructors will adjust exercises according to your ability level, and you will never be competing with others in class. With consistency, your flexibility will actually improve over time!
For optimal results, we recommend taking a Pilates class 2-3 times a week. However, you can do Pilates as often as every day!
Absolutely! Many of our clients use Pilates post-rehab, because it is a low-impact form of movement. Our instructors tailor workouts to any and all fitness levels, and often help individuals in their journey through recovery.
Pilates can certainly play a role in helping clients with osteoporosis. To keep you safe and healthy, we recommend taking private classes where the instructor can work one-on-one with you to modify exercises and tailor your workout routine to your ability level.
Pilates is great to maintain tone, relieve tension, and build stamina for childbirth. Our instructors make modifications to exercises as your pregnancy progresses to ensure baby and mom are safe. Pregnant women who have never done Pilates before are not advised to start Pilates during pregnancy.
