Katrin
Gerow
Since Katrin was a small child growing up in Germany, she planned on following her parents’ footsteps and become a teacher. Life took a turn while she worked as an au-pair in Washington, DC - she met her future husband Justin, who was raised in Charlotte County, FL. She put her plans of becoming a teacher on hold, got a bachelors and masters degree in International Business, and moved to the US. After moving to Punta Gorda in 2005 she kept looking for a way to fulfill her passion of teaching. Once Katrin took her first Pilates session she was hooked. She became a fully STOTT-certified teacher and has been teaching for 6 years. Katrin loves working with clients 1:1 or in a group setting. Teaching is her passion and she wants each student to get the most out of their Pilates session. It is the best compliment for her when a clients says: I am in less pain or I think about my posture throughout the day, you made me aware of certain things.

julia
matson
Julia is a Punta Gorda resident from the Midwest with a 500 hour Club Pilates® teacher certification. She fell in love with Pilates after it significantly helped reduce her chronic back pain from a vehicle rollover. She found mat Pilates in the early 2000s and noticed a great improvement in her lower back pain. She decided to become an instructor when she was introduced to the Reformer in 2016 as she fell in love even more because it helped her body become stronger, leaner and pain free. Teaching ESL for many years beforehand helped her transition nicely into a Pilates instructor as well. Julia is trained in using the Mat, Reformer, Springboard, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, TRX suspension straps, and Magic Circle to lengthen and strengthen muscles throughout the entire body. Her passion is to help others transform their bodies through Pilates. Instructing them on how movement and breath work can lengthen and strengthen muscles in the body thus creating stronger core muscles and improving spine flexibility for better posture and reducing pain throughout the body.

angelica
asperilla
Angelica was born and raised in Charlotte County, where her lifelong love of movement first began. With a background in dance and a natural passion for body awareness, Angelica discovered Pilates in 2014 thanks to Claudia Sanchez, who introduced her to the practice that would eventually shape her career. After years of dedicated practice, Angelica completed her Balanced Body Reformer Certification and now brings both technical skill and personal insight to her teaching. She strives to create a fun, relaxed environment where clients of all levels feel supported, encouraged, and empowered in their movement. Her journey to becoming a Pilates instructor was inspired by being a caretaker for her father after he suffered a series of strokes. Seeing the critical role that physical and occupational therapy played in his recovery sparked a passion in Angelica for functional movement and injury prevention. She believes in the power of Pilates to help people stay mobile, strong, and connected to their bodies as they age. When she’s not in the studio, Angelica enjoys spending time with her beloved dog, Jenny, and her boyfriend, Joe.

EILEEN
NOFI
Eileen received her first certification in 2008 from Into This World YOGA Teacher Training program, while working full-time as a Senior Director of Networking Services. The high stress of the industry led her to a love for fitness as a release and recovery from long days dealing with technology and the people who rely on those tools to get things done. She holds a BS in Computer Science from SUNY Old Westbury, New York. My love of movement expanded into Pilates while working at a media distributor and getting hooked on functional movement through yoga and Pilates. After many hours of study and training, she realized her dream to be a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor. “Becoming a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor is one of my greatest accomplishments because now I know how to utilize my training to effectively deliver a more effective system for overall health and wellness. Joseph Pilates was certainly a creative genius and learning to use his method has helped me realize more fully how to move effectively.” Eileen's teaching method combines yoga, fitness and Pilates to help others learn to move using the grace of breath, balance, and strength, and love who they are becoming. Eileen looks forward to meeting you and sharing our love of movement.
